My name is Ole-Kristian Krukhaug. I was born in 1974 and originally come from Dombås in the Gudbrandsdalen valley, but I have lived in Oslo for the past 25 years. I hold a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Oslo, with Psychology as a supporting subject. I have also completed further training in Philosophical Practice as well as Stress and Crisis Management. With this foundation, I worked for nearly 10 years in municipal psychiatry – including serving on a municipal crisis team focused on the prevention of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In addition, I received clients in my own counseling and coaching practice. Together, this forms one of the pillars on which I stand in my work as a psychedelic guide.
Early in my studies – back in 2002 – I came across Stanislav Grof’s books on his research with LSD, and from then on I read everything I could find about psychedelics. The perspectives I encountered there informed my work with non-pharmacological methods for achieving altered states of consciousness, such as breathwork techniques. Since 2016, I have explored this path through the use of psychedelic substances. These experiences form the second pillar on which my work rests. Since 2021, I have offered assistance as a psychedelic guide/tripsitter.
Personally, I have undertaken around 100 of my own psychedelic journeys – all with the overarching aim of understanding myself and the reality we live in, as well as how these experiences can help people find release and growth. I have also assisted other “travelers” in more than 400 psychedelic sessions. Over time, this has revealed clear patterns in what works well – and less well – for different personality types and constellations of challenges. Naturally, I also draw on my experience and methods from psychiatric work to assess you as a client, guide you through the psychedelic process, and support the integration of the experience afterward.

In general, this work is rooted in a genuine interest in and care for the human being, and in the conviction that everyone should have the opportunity to experience growth, joy, and freedom – despite limitations created by a difficult childhood, trauma, or simply the fact that life turned out the way it did. I look forward to getting to know you, and nothing would make me happier than if we can help you take important steps toward a better, freer, and more joyful life.
